Hopefully, I have managed to start my Retirement Blog. Mostly, this will be used for holidays but also for any significant events during the year. Thanks to James for helping out with instructions.
Today, fed up with this nasty bug that has been around for over a fortnight, I managed to obtain a slot with Jonathan, my Doctor. He is also suffering from the same symptoms!
The antibiotic prescribed has taken effect pretty soon and now I feel a lot more human.
I walked to the pharmacy over the road from the surgery, and whilst waiting for the prescription to be made up, I recognised that a fellow patient had picked up an electric toothbrush, and was rigidly staring at the CCTV cameras, concealing the same in her pocket. She approached with now NOT holding the toothbrush, and very, very slowly approached the door and disappeared outside. I reported what I had seen, and then she returned for her prescription drugs. The pharmacist asked her into the office, where she was told to return the goods or to be banned from the pharmacy. She disappeared outside to a waiting boyfriend, and reappeared, putting the toothbrush onto the counter.
I do wish I was not quite so observant, as this has happened to me before a few times.
Too many years of teaching and watching others!!
